Called the Indiana Jones of paleontology, Peter Larson picked up his
first fossil at age four and never stopped.
Founder of the world's largest independent fossil company, Black Hills
Institute of Geological Research, Larson's discoveries can be viewed at
virtually every major natural history museum in the world. Larson has
excavated seven Tyrannosaurus rexes and hundreds of other dinosaurs. He
lives with his wife and daughter near Hill City, South Dakota.
Kristin Donnan's writing career has spanned a science and health
editorship at McCall's and a role investigating controversial legal cases at
NBC's Unsolved Mysteries. A decade of research into the saga of Sue led to
an unexpected twist in her future, a special magazine series on collecting
dinosaurs, and her honorary membership in the ranks of amateur
paleontologists. A Bush Artists Fellow, she lives in the Black Hills of
South Dakota.
Both authors have toured the United States in the fall and winter of 2002,
